Just Another Sunday...

So, since today was Sean's first real day off in about three weeks because of the holiday season we thought we would do something fun together. :) Of course I let him pick what we'd do since he's the sweetheart who's been working so hard. He chose to put some of our movie gift cards that we received as Christmas presents to good use, and the movie he picked was Avatar. This really did not come as a surprise to me because I know he has been dying to see it since before it came out. It was a take it or leave movie for me...or so I thought! We ended up going to Century 20 at Oakridge Mall with Ryan (Sean's brother) and Marc (my father-in-law) while Cheryl (my mother-in-law) stayed home to hang out with Josh. There was no way he was coming to see this movie. He literally sprints out of the TV room when a preview come on!

Haha. I have to say....the move was AWESOME! I really surprised myself for liking the movie as much as I do, but it was just so impressive! First of all, it's in 3D so that gives it some extra cool points right there. LOL. Then the story line was just amazing. To be honest I expected in to be very cheesy and predictable but it blew me away. It was a great love story. :) The planet of Pandora was breathtaking! I'm still imagining what it would be like if I could go and visit. The imagery just made you want to jump through the screen
and swim in the rivers or travel all throughout the beautiful forrest. AMAZING. I can now say that I am a true fan of CGI. I've also learned that my husband might now a little more about movies than I give him credit for, so maybe he won't have to pull me so hard to get me to go to the next one with him. :)

Anywho, that's really all I did today apart from laundry, cooking, and cleaning. But I am getting excited, REALLY EXCITED for my favorite part of Sundays! My beloved Kardashian clan has their delicious show on tonight! And not just a half hour like normal, but a whole sinfully unrestrained hour of extraordinary. Mmmmm. I love it lots! Can't wait to see what goes down tonight!
Oh...and everybody knows that Kimmie is totally my favorite Kardashian so I always like to see what she's up to by reading her blog. If any of you are interested then here's the link: Kim Kardashian's Blog.

Happy 2010!

Welcome to my blog! I hope for this to be a place where I can write about my daily thoughts and experiences and a place where I can share and create memories. I have been reading other people's blogs for about a year now and I've always felt like I'd love one of my own but I just never made the time for it. But as I was jotting down my resolutions for this new year I decided that I might as well write these resolutions down on my NEW BLOG! Since making a blog was one of my resolutions too! So, here they are in no particular order...
  • Start a family blog. (Yay! I am already doing this!)
  • Paint the upstairs of the house. (For this I need to pick out colors and do some prep work. My cousin Katie has already volunteered to help me get this one done.)
  • Create and live by a wonderful schedule that works for everyone. (I have one in mind based on our daily activities but I'd like to get it written out in a way that the whole family can actually see it.)
  • Lose weight. (I need to lose it. BAD. Not gonna say how much I need to lose on here, but it needs to happen. I'll let you know how it goes...)
  • Organize our storage unit. (We basically just need to go through it and get rid of stuff we don't need and put the stuff we want to keep away in an organized manner.)
  • Stick to a gym schedule. (A schedule needs to be made where I get my butt to the gym at least four times a week so I don't feel like I'm wasting my incredibly expensive gym membership. Ha!)
  • Come up with a better way to meal plan. (I need to research and implement in this department. I'd love to find helpful ways to organize coupons as well.)
  • Train for and run a half-marathon. (A running schedule needs to be made and I just have to stick to it.)
  • Do the LoveDare. (I am really excited about this one! Sean and I will do it together of course.)
  • Return calls and emails in a timely fashion. (All I really need to do is answer my phone and check my texts/emails/viocemails. And respond to people the SAME DAY!!! Ugh. I am so bad at this...)
  • De-clutter our entire home. (This could take some time... But can definitely happen!)
  • Learn more about my Rheumatoid Arthritis and my Kidney Disease and find ways to make my life better/easier through that knowledge. (I just feel like there must be more/better ways for people as young as myself to deal with these yucky diseases. I am tired of being depressed by them.)
  • Become more active on thenest.com. (It seems like a great online community for young wives/moms/families. I think I need to become active on the boards? I don't really 100% get it yet.)
  • Continue to climb out of debt. (Pay off my medical bills as much as we can when we can. Medical bills suck.)
  • Keep up better with current events. (I feel like I am totally out of it politically because I was getting so depressed when I'd watch the news. I need to get with it though, I need a little FOX news in my life.)
  • Create a "communication station" downstairs. (On the side of the fridge would be a great place: calendar, whiteboard, shopping list, magnet center)
  • Read and study the bible daily. (I want to start using this Mom's Devotional Bible that Sean gave me.)
  • Start up my business! (I need to make a whole to-do list for this....and then execute it.)
  • Take an amazing family vacation. (Atlantis, Disney World, Hawaii, Disney Cruise...Where?)
  • Pick the best possible Kindergarten for Joshua. (Bagby, Sakamoto, or Greystone)
  • Start Scrapbooking. (I want to start from when I was pregnant with Joshua. I'd also like to take some classes at Scrapbook Island beyond the Scrapbooking101 which I took already.)
  • Start tweeting. (It seems fun! There are also some interesting people I'd like to "follow")
I think that this is a perfect place for me to post these goals. I will be visually reminded every time I update my blog (which I hope will be often). I am excited about each and everyone of these things and can't wait to get to work on them. I've even tried to kick start my weight loss by starting up my gym routine today! It felt great to be in that gym doing something good for my body. I just need to keep it up now. :)
I plan on posting pictures often on the blog as well. I'd like to use it as a family journal to document events in our lives, holidays, birthdays, day trips to the museum or the beach, milestones, great recipes, accomplishments, discoveries, wonderful dining experiences, and just everyday life! Thanks.
